• The need for the establishment of CDN |
|
The Christian Doctor Network is basically a network of connection among Christian doctors both in the public and the private sector of health service in Hong Kong.
Nearly every Christian doctors had passions hidden in their heart to be a good Christian doctor since the students years. We are involved in the medic fellowship when we are students, and God has put in many things in our lives then – relationships, memories, passions and values. Over the past years, we are all scattered into different hospitals and units, and we face the workplace challenges individually yet the challenges are so common for all of us.
Therefore wee see a need to establish or re-establish a network of connection among us, and this is called the Christian Doctor Network, CDN. We believe that CDN can serve as a way to build the bridge between Christian doctors, the network that it forms can fit into the current situation, and through this network we may re-discover the precious eternal things that the loving Lord has put in our hearts years ago – the first love.

The whole passage of Ephesians 4:1 – 5:21, with the core verses of:
[弗 4:15-16]
惟用愛心說誠實話,凡事長進,連於元首基督,全身都靠他聯絡得合式,百節各按各職,照著各體的功用彼此相助,便叫身體漸漸增長,在愛中建立自己。
But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ; from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.

- We see prayer networks of Christian doctors spreading over every units of the public and private healthcare system of Hong Kong.
- Christian doctors shining for Christ
- We see every Christian doctors as the light of the world, who can live victorious lives as examples and witnesses of Christ to influence people around.
- Unity
- We see one church, one calling in the medical field – to be the body of Christ, serving the Lord with one heart on our common battle field – the wards, the clinics and the OT suites!
- An army for Christ
- We see troops and teams of Christian doctors, well equipped and trained in spirit, mind and skills, ready to serve the world in times of disasters, wars and plaques.
